Our team is expanding in Tokyo and Osaka! We are looking for motivated candidates to help us strengthen the economic relations between Japan and Israel further.
About Us:
The Economic & Trade Mission of Israel in Japan reports to the Ministry of Economy and Industry. The Mission is responsible for promoting bilateral trade relations, focusing on inward investment (FDI), export promotion, open innovation, and business development.
Responsibilities:
- Building relations with local and Israeli entities from private and public sectors such as investors, distributors, integrators, trading companies, associations, government entities, etc.
- Initiating and managing projects such as events, business delegations, exhibitions
- Coordinating meetings between Israel and Japanese companies and agencies
- Scouting for technologies for potential partnerships with Japanese companies and entities
- Generating success stories
- Handling inquiries and identifying business opportunities
Qualifications:
- Japanese citizenship
- Fluency both verbal and written in English and Japanese
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution
- Great networking and communication skills and customer service awareness
- Proactive can-do approach, team player, result-oriented, flexible, reliable
- Ability to work cross-culturally; experience living abroad is an asset
- Interest in commercial and business-related topics; understanding of the high-tech sector is an asset
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
The Selection Process Consists of:
- An evaluation of the applications’ fulfillment of the above-mentioned requirements
- Successful applications will be invited for an online interview followed by a computer-based test (2-3 hours)
- Successful candidates will be invited to the Embassy for an in-person interview and practical assignments (1-2 hours)
Additional Information:
This is a full-time position. Further details regarding benefits will be discussed during interviews. Candidates progressing in the recruitment process will undergo a security clearance and must provide a certificate of criminal record from the Japanese police (犯罪経歴証明書).
